Potom ako som na viacerých weboch videl túto službu od Google a potom, keď som si prečítal článok na Martyho blogu, rozhodol som sa, že službu Google Friend Connect zavediem aj na svojom blogu.
Zároveň ruším službu Followers/ Následníci, ktorá nezožala veľký úspech ani na mojom blogu a ani celkovo nie je až tak populárna.
Poďme však späť k téme. Čo to je Google Friend Connect?
Je to niečo ako sociálna sieť, ktorá sa však realizuje inak ako napríklad Facebook. Nie ste na nejakej jednej stránke, kde pridávate svoje vecičky a podobne. Tu sa iba prihlásite k nejakému webu A ako jeho "priateľ". Potom na ďalšom webe B, kde sa prihlásite, ostatní užívatelia už vidia, že ste priateľom webu A, ale vidia aj vaše iné služby, s ktorými Google spolupracuje.
Ako najväčšie výhody GFC považujem:
1. Prepojenosť -k webu sa môžete pripojiť nielen pomocou Google účtu, ale aj pomocou OpenID, Aol,... .
2. Design -na rozdiel od Followers si výzor gadgetu na web môžete upraviť takmer úplne, môžete si zmeniť farby a niektoré slová tak, aby sa to hodilo k vášmu designu na stránke.
3. Možnosti -môžete si pridať viacero rôznych gadgetov, dokonca aj vyrobiť vlastný. Do komentárov môžete napríklad pridávať aj videá (ak to majiteľ webu povolil).
4. Kvalita -týmto chcem len povedať, že je to od Google a teda ak bude mať projekt úspech, dočká sa určite aj ďalších vylepšení.
Nejaké nevýhody zatiaľ neviem posúdiť, možno ak povolíte písanie anonymom, tak budete mať na stránke spam.
Zatiaľ mám túto službu len krátko a neviem úplne ohodnotiť jej schopnosti, ale má dobrý potenciál a na weboch bude rozšírená. Zatiaľ som sa pripojil len k Martyho webu, ale už mám vyhliadnutých pár ďalších, kam sa určite rád pripojím.
